Luca

Luca is one of our most unfortunate dogs. He’s been in the UK for 2 years now and this is his second time in kennels. Luca is a tripaw and the most wonderful dog. He’s good with other dogs and might like to live with a friendly female dog. He’s also been fine with other animals around the kennels such as horses and donkeys. However, he isn’t cat tested.

 

So why is he in kennels again? Luca guards food and that needs to be managed and it wasn’t previously.  Luca is the most laid-back dog unless food is around. He has manners and will sit and wait for you to give him his meal.  He will eat it and allow you to take the empty bowl away so this is very much manageable.   However, he cannot be fed near other animals, and he shouldn’t be allowed in an area where you are preparing or eating food.

 

Luca is child friendly and adores children but because of his food issue he will not be homed with children under 12.  His new adopters must absolutely committed to keeping Luca safe by removing him from any area where food may become an issue. This boy doesn’t deserve to be stuck in kennels again.

 

He deserves someone who will commit to helping him and keeping him safe.

 

Luca does have some food allergies and will need a single protein food such as Lamb.

 

All our dogs are tested for the following prior to travel: Heartworm, Anaplasmosis, Erlichiosis, Lyme Disease, Brucellosis (since 11th June 2021).
