Meet Lexy
This little Pekingese/Spitz mix is Lexy.
Lexy and his little family (Lady and Lucky also looking for homes) were living on the street together but as they weren’t safe our lovely rescuer has taken them in so we can try and find them homes. They are living in her home now with other dogs and cats.
They are very happy around people and older children; and are good with the other dogs. Lexy loves to cuddle and play.
Mum Lady and Dad Lexy do everything together so it would be lovely if they could be adopted together but it is not essential.
Lexy is vaccinated and neutered and ready to find a forever home.
Our dogs are tested for the following conditions as part of our standard testing procedure - Heartworm, Anaplasmosis, Lyme Disease, Ehrlichiosis and from the 11th June 2021 all dogs are also tested for Brucellosis.
Lexy tested positive for heart worm on routine testing and is currently under treatment. He will be able to travel to the UK after two negative heartworm control tests have been achieved and a scan to check no lasting damage. Heartworm is fairly common in Serbia and many dogs recover in full if caught early enough and dogs can lead full and normal lives. Heartworm is not generally well known in the UK but there are plenty of articles online and a useful video within the video library on our website here.
