Meet Jason
Jason is amazingly handsome male. He was abandoned in the mountains in the middle of nowhere, likely by a hunter at the end of the season. He’s a Balkan (Serbian) hound and a magnificent example of the breed.
He was skinny when he was picked up but since he’s been in pension he’s made a brilliant recovery and as you can see he’s thriving. Jason is a typical hound, very active and intelligent. His prey drive is high and this will need to be managed. It’s possible he could be difficult to recall train for example, although he’s great in pension and show no interest in the resident cat.
He gets along great with females in the pension but can be a little overpowering with males but with careful introductions he could live with a calm male. He adores people and is good with children, due to his very active nature however we wouldn’t home him with very young kids.
All our dogs are tested for the following prior to travel: Heartworm, Anaplasmosis, Erlichiosis, Lyme Disease, Brucellosis (since 11th June 2021).
