Meet Brodie
Brodie was rescued from the streets by one of our wonderful rescuers. He's currently in pension and loves small people and seems fine with cats and other dogs. He will make a great addition to any family with his happy nature.
Unfortunately Brodie has a medical problem that means he will need medication for the rest of his life. With the medication he will be able to live a full and active life. More information is available on request.
Brodie has tested positive for heartworm and is receiving treatment. When he has received two negative tests, including a lab Knott blood test and an ultrasound scan to ensure no lasting effects from the heart-worm have remained he can travel to his new home. All test results can be supplied to his new adopter. Heart-worm is fairly common in Serbia and is transmitted by a mosquito bite. We have many fully recovered dogs leading normal and full lives in the Uk after treatment. All our dogs are tested for the following prior to travel: Heartworm, Anaplasmosis, Erlichiosis, Lyme Disease, Brucellosis (since 11th June 2021).
